Our Student Athletes Deserve More. Region 15 Needs Another Field.
Because, One Field Isn’t Enough
Region 15 currently relies on one turf field, located at Pomperaug High School, to serve multiple schools and community groups.
This one field supports: school athletic teams, youth sports programs, community activities, practices, games, and events, often at the same time.
Right Now, Families and Students Struggle With:
Overcrowded field schedules
Inefficient or cancelled practices due to weather and schedule changes
Limited practice opportunities
Frustration for parents and coaches
Fewer chances for kids to fully develop their skills
And, with the existing turf field scheduled for replacement in the next few years, these challenges will only intensify.
When access is limited, student athletes suffer and miss out on valuable time to play and build their skills.
But Together, We Can Solve this Problem
Panther Pride Region 15 exists to equip our community with a clear and necessary solution:
adding an additional athletic field to serve Region 15 schools, coaches, and families.
An additional field will:
Increase access for students and youth programs
Reduce scheduling conflicts
Minimize cancelled practices and games
Provide more consistent opportunities for all student athletes
This effort is about more than logistics, it’s about putting our students first.
Why It Really Matters
Every moment on the field shapes our students, builds confidence, resilience, friendships, and skills that last a lifetime.
Every student deserves the space to run, play, and grow, without constant limitations. But, we can’t do it without you. Together, let’s help our entire Region 15 community thrive.

FOUNDER / BOARD CHAIR
Jason Saunders is a Region 15 parent and the founder of Panther Pride Region 15. As the father of two young boys who will eventually rely on Region 15 athletic facilities, Jason has seen firsthand how limited field access affects students, families, and programs.He launched Panther Pride Region 15 to raise awareness, bring the community together, and help ensure that kids across Southbury and Middlebury have the space they need to play, grow, and thrive.
